Welcome

Hello and welcome to our page about our little Noodle kitty's last weeks. She died of bile duct carcinoma, which we believe was caused by a diet of Nutro Max Cat food. The tests for zinc in Noodle's liver tissue did not show enough zinc (after weeks of flushing her liver) to prove to Nutro that her death was a direct result of eating Nutro cat food. Our vet is still doing some research and talking with other vets to find others who have had the same issue.

We did some research and discovered that the primary causes of bile duct carcinoma are parasites (which she did not have) and exposure to heavy metals. We believe that her cancer came from excessive zinc in the cat food she ate.

We hope that others will learn from our tragic experience that since Mars corporation took over, Nutro is not a company to be trusted.

What Happened

Noodle became very ill with symptoms found in cats poisoned by recalled Nutro dry cat food. The only food Noodle has ever eaten is Nutro. In order to prove to the company that Nutro poisoned her, she needed expensive tests. In order to try and save her life, she needed daily injections of fluids, lots of pills, special food and weekly doctor visits. She spent eight days in the hospital.

Nutro has had numerous recalls of their pet foods, especially since Mars corporation took over. We are very upset that a pet food we trusted for so many years could have poisoned so many animals. Our vet says her test results indicate that she could have been poisoned by zinc - which is the reason for Nutro's latest recall.

We are collecting names of people who will no longer buy Nutro cat food. If you are one of those people, please send us an email.
